RWE are looking for a dynamic people-focused HSE professional who is keen to be part of a European team that is committed to promoting continuous improvement and working hand in hand with operational teams. Main Responsibilities
* The Senior HSE specialist is responsible for providing independent, expert and professional advice and guidance to the Marine & Logistics Team, and its line management team on all health, safety and environmental issues.
* Support the Marine & Logistics Team in implementing high standards of proactive and continual improvement ‘We Care’ ethos, including initiatives in behavioural safety, well-being and sustainability to ensure a positive impact on the team members.
* Liaising with internal and external departments to ensure contractors are suitably selected, engaged and monitored for health, safety and environmental performance.
* Produce, review and update health, safety and environment-related documentation required by the allocated Marine & Logistics Team as directed by the Head of HSE Offshore Operations and Team Lead HSE Offshore Operations, United Kingdom (UK)/Continental Europe (CE) or required by the HSE function.
* Contribute towards and deliver on annual key performance indicators, annual 'We Care' goals and targets for the Marine & Logistics Team and wider business.
* Attend meetings, site visits and technology reviews with sub-contractors & clients to offshore operations as directed by the Head of HSE Offshore Operations and Team Lead HSE Offshore Operations, United Kingdom (UK)/Continental Europe (CE).
* Prepare and present monthly HSE reports to the project Senior Management Team and Project Board as required.
Job Requirements and Experience
* Hold a NEBOSH Certificate, ideally working towards a NEBOSH Diploma.
* Hold a IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management.
* Experience in working offshore.
* Ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels through verbal and written communication including advanced listening skills.
* Experience in behavioural safety techniques and delivering behavioural safety training would be desirable.
* Good health, with general round fitness to work in an offshore environment is a requirement for the role.
* Expertise in offshore lifting, handling, and loading out of heavy components and tools.
* Experience in handling vessel-related operations.
