Job Description
The jobholder is responsible to produce accurate surveys and design drawings of plant and equipment within our Ardagh Glass Packaging Europe (AGP-E) division.
Responsibilities
1. Produce accurate design drawings using CAD (Computer Aided Design) software when requested by the senior designer and/or Project Engineer.
2. Carry out on site surveys and 3D scans as required at any of the Ardagh Group glass manufacturing facilities.
3. Provide project supporting services to the project engineers at any of the Ardagh Group glass manufacturing facilities.
4. Identify and put forward any improvements that can be made to a design in order to achieve the most suitable design for the given objective.
5. Produce associated documents to support the design drawings using software such as Word and Excel.
6. Maintain effective communication between colleagues in order to sustain an effective team.
Requirements
1. Experience of CAD (Computer Aided Design) software.
2. A good understanding of the glass manufacturing process and ergonomics.
3. Experience in Office 365 (Word, Excel).
4. The ability to understand technical drawings.
5. Able to travel as the business requires.
6. Able to operate survey equipment such as laser levelling, 3D scanner and measuring devices (desirable but not essential as training will be provided).
