This is a 12 month fixed term contract position.

The role of Project Coordinator will take overall responsibility for the delivery of assigned projects in accordance with MDC’s governance framework, ensuring progression of projects through project planning and monitoring, problem solving and collaborative teamwork to deliver milestones to time, quality and budget.
This role would suit someone who has energy and motivation to learn and grow within the existing project team, bringing fresh thinking and enthusiasm to develop and excel. With a diverse project portfolio, this role will provide an excellent platform for cultivating project management experience.
Main duties and responsibilities:
* Be responsible for delivering a portfolio of projects (to scope, quality, time and cost), ensuring the desired result is achieved and the key stakeholders are satisfied.
* Record and track all project information in the PPM software solution. Input, update & maintain project documentation.
* Provide good communication on all project matters including monthly publication of project reports.
* Ensure delivery of projects through collaborative coordinated teamwork to deliver on milestones to time, quality and budget.
* Organise and run project team meetings where required. Document and follow up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
* Apply the MDC governance model to all projects, ensuring compliance with the framework and defined processes including Risk and Issue management; change control.
* Create, maintain and monitor project plans and budgets.
* Manage project risks, issues and actions. Report and escalate to management as needed.
* Follow the defined Change Control process for all changes above the defined tolerance.
Essential qualifications, skills, and knowledge:
* Experience working in a PMO or Coordination of Projects in a supporting role where attention to detail, organisation, monitoring/tracking, following processes is essential.
* Excellent IT skills, including MS Word, MS Project, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel.
* Experience of reporting of progress against plans and budgets.
* Collaborative working style, able to work well independently and in a team environment.
* Enthusiastic, proactive, self-confident, professional, and adaptable.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing the uncertainty inherent in an advanced innovation program.
* Excellent communication and organisation skills, strong attention to detail with good analytical and reasoning skills.
* Ability to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets and maintaining accuracy.
Desirable qualifications, skills, and knowledge:
* Experience in internal and external management of partners and stakeholder relationships would be desirable.
