At Capital City College (CCC) we are dedicated to transforming lives through exceptional education and training. Our focus is providing our learners with the skills to be successful in their futures, whether that is continuing in education through higher education, or an apprenticeship, or supporting them into a higher-level job.
About the role:
This dynamic role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of learners in Forensic Science. You will be instrumental in delivering high-quality teaching, assessment, and support for students across various courses, ensuring they are prepared for further education and employment opportunities.
As part of this role, you will teach and assess Biology, Chemistry and Forensic Science units from Level 2 to Level 3 Forensic Science programmes while supporting Forensic Science students as a course tutor. You will facilitate internal moderation and quality assurance processes to maintain high educational standards and work collaboratively with external stakeholders, including employers and universities, to enhance learning experiences. Supporting students in completing mandatory work experience will also be a key aspect of your responsibilities.
In addition to delivering exceptional teaching, you will play an active role in adapting to curriculum changes, helping to develop and coordinate new and existing courses. There is a strong focus on supporting students in developing core English and Maths skills through integrated teaching approaches. This role is perfect for a motivated individual who thrives in a supportive and student-centered environment, ready to make a significant impact on learners' success.
About you:
If you are a proactive and adaptable individual with experience in teaching, course coordination, and quality assurance, this role is an excellent opportunity to bring your expertise to a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
We are looking for someone who is knowledgeable and skilled in teaching Forensic Science including fundamentals of Biology and Chemistry at Levels 2 and 3, with experience in supporting students' academic and personal development. You will act as a course tutor for Forensic Science students, providing valuable guidance throughout their studies. Organisation is key, as you will produce and maintain high-quality documentation, assessment materials, and student records. Collaboration is essential, as you will work closely with employers, universities, and awarding bodies to enhance students' learning and professional opportunities. Additionally, you should be committed to continuous professional development, safeguarding, and fostering an inclusive, safe, and effective learning environment. If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you!
