Job Title: EAP Triage Assessor
Location: Southport (Hybrid)

Hours: Full time - 8:30am to 5:00pm
We are currently recruiting for somebody who is newly qualified level 4 Counselling to be our Triage Assessor at MCL Medics: an established, experienced, and trusted Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) provider.
Main Objectives
The EAP Team is currently seeking a full-time qualified counsellor to work at our head office in Southport. As an EAP Triage Assessor, you would assess clients by phone, book client appointments, send and receive correspondence, and ensure all our data systems are fully updated.
Key Responsibilities
1. Speak to clients daily, assessing them and arranging appointments.
2. Support the internal EAP team.
3. Maintain a calm and empathetic manner as the first point of contact for clients.
4. Make accurate notes using excellent keyboard skills.
5. Handle incoming calls effectively.
Our ideal candidate will have empathic and relational building skills with clients and be methodical and organised in their approach to work. Due to the busy nature of the department, multi-tasking and priority management is key, and you will be supported by a fantastic team of people in delivering an excellent service to clients.
Essential Qualifications
* Must have completed and passed a minimum of level 4 in Counselling.
* Must have over 100 counselling hours.
Experience
* EAP experience would be an advantage.
* Mental Health experience.
* Team Player.
* A commitment to client confidentiality.
* Excellent telephone manner.
* Excellent administration and computer skills, particularly in handling and processing client data.
* A positive “can do attitude.”
* Experience of working in a client administration or service delivery signposting role.
* Strong empathy and listening skills.
