A Brief Overview
The Reinsurance Analyst (Ira) – UK, CE & ME, will work to ensure that UK, Continental European and Middle East business is administered appropriately and in line with treaty expectations.
This is an 18 month FTC.
What you will do
1. Ensure that the company’s administration standards and time service requirements are applied to the handling of all business received and adheres to RGA treaties.
2. For your specific client responsibility, provide administration data for input to accounting records, valuation systems and regulatory returns.
3. Process client statements/files/data related to the receipt of reinsurance premiums and where required, co-ordinate processing of accounts with the Ira Claims Administration Team.
4. Allocate cash funds received and disbursed to our clients in our core administration systems in a timely and accurate manner. Ensuring all incoming and outgoing files and cash are tracked and processed through to completion.
5. Ensure OFAC and compliance controls are carried out within the required timeframes and in a timely and accurate manner.
6. Ensure month end deadlines are met. This includes working with both team colleagues and members of the wider UK, CE & ME Administration Operations Team as well as EMEA Finance and Valuations to ensure data can be processed in a timely and accurate manner to achieve this goal.
7. Ensure that premiums relating to UK & CE businesses are administered appropriately through the RGA chain of companies, external retro companies and the International Retro Pool.
8. Assist with policy exhibit calculation and upload to administration system.
9. Assist the Ira systems teams based in both EMEA and the U.S. This includes assisting with any queries related to system processing and assisting with any User Acceptance Testing Ira software releases as and when required.
10. Support or participate in audits of RGA’s clients.
11. Support internal stakeholders and clients with ad hoc data requests as and when required.
12. Maintain a good knowledge of reinsurance practices and specific RGA treaty practices as they pertain to the management and handling of transfer of risk.
Qualifications
1. Good knowledge of Life insurance/reinsurance products. Preferred.
2. Experience working in a similar role. Required.
3. Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with employees at differing levels and across different departments. Required.
4. Good understanding of, and proficient in, MS Excel. Required.
5. Good oral and written communication skills. Required.
6. Proactivity and attention to detail. Required.
7. Ability to quickly adapt to new methods, work under tight deadlines. Required.
8. Ability to contribute to the team building spirit with the company. Required.
9. Ability to work well within a team environment and participate in department projects. Required.
10. Must have the ability to organize and manage own time. Required.
