Quantfury is a fintech company that develops and supports one of the world’s fastest-growing online trading platforms, with a monthly trading volume in excess of $10 billion dollars. We are currently in search of a London UK-based Senior Accountant to join our team. This role will be a member of the Company’s Global Finance Team. You will perform tasks involving financial reporting, regulatory reporting, financial analysis, and audit support. This role requires a relationship-oriented finance professional to collaborate with the Global Finance Team to manage the general accounting functions in the UK. This is a very hands-on role that requires one to be deeply immersed in the General Ledger, the Management Accounts, Excel based reconciliation work and financial statement preparation. This role offers hybrid work options. This means you can work from an office and commute to the Company’s London UK office, as well as enjoying the flexibility to work from home a couple of days a week. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (>90%): Own the financial reporting and ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations in the UK, including but not limited to corporate tax returns, VAT returns and Annual Accounts. Manage interim and year-end account reconciliations process to ensure all reconciliations are completed accurately and on time. Perform the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, monthly tax remittances, and general ledger work. Ownership of the following accounting processes including maintaining schedules in Excel, creating and processing journal entries as they relate to the general ledger using Sage Intacct accounting software: Revenue recognition for several entities within the group Payroll reconciliation for the group Allocation of intercompany expenses for the group Prepaid reconciliation for the group Fiat investment reconciliation Fixed asset amortization/depreciation (including right of use assets) for the group Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements). Prepare accurate and timely financial forecasts and budgets and monitor variances. Work closely with Senior Finance Team members who are located in Toronto, Canada. Support the preparation of tax filings and liaise with external accountants and auditors as needed. Ensure effective internal controls to safeguard company assets. Provide regular support to Senior Finance team members including importing financial data into Sage, creating/posting journal entries, and resolving bank reconciliation differences for several entities as needed. Take a proactive approach to investigate discrepancies including but not limited to, gathering supporting documents for business expenses and other accounting balances. Assist with other tasks as requested by the Senior Finance Team including ad-hoc financial analysis, special projects, and audit support. Be available to work outside of office hours from time to time to complete various finance related tasks as needed in order to meet external filing/reporting deadlines. OFFICE MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES (up to 10%): Coordinating fire safety inspection Ordering office supplies and office lunches when applicable Sending/receiving the mail Liaise with the property manager and city on basic premises issues or queries. Monitor vendor performance, ensuring that all services are provided as agreed. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or overseas equivalent is essential. Post-secondary degree, preferably in Business or Finance. Strong understanding of IFRS. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably involving a multi-national group structure. Strong working knowledge of Excel (Pivot tables, V-lookups, Sum-Ifs). Proficient with Microsoft Office including Teams to facilitate effective meetings is critical as most in-team communication will be digital/remote. Confident and professional communicator with a proven track record of advising senior stakeholders on financial matters. Proactive, structured and analytical approach to work; self-motivated and with the ability to meet deadlines and balance multiple stakeholder expectations. A team player who would thrive in our collaborative culture with the ability to actively contribute to wider organizational objectives. Working knowledge of Sage Intacct is advantageous. An understanding of European financial, banking, compliance and reporting processes would be advantageous but not essential.
