An opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Learning and Development Facilitator in the operating department at Kent & Canterbury Hospital. We are looking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual to support practice development for theatre practitioners and learners to enable them to achieve personal, professional and Trust objectives through the development, implementation and monitoring of training and development needs of the department. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about teaching and education, who is committed to delivering and enabling high quality care and safety in the perioperative environment, someone who has great communication and can demonstrate excellent organisational and problem solving skills.
They will work collaboratively with the EKHUFT Theatre Learning and Development Facilitator Team (TL&DF) to promote and generate a highly skilled team and effective work-based culture that is safe and supportive. The post holder will support learners to develop knowledge and skills to traverse safely from student to skilled practitioner.
Maintain clinical skills to enable work in an educational capacity with those who may need support. They will work collaboratively with the EKHUFT Theatre Learning and Development Facilitator Team (TL&DF) to promote and generate a highly skilled team and effective work-based culture that is safe and supportive.
Support all staff irrespective of grade to achieve personal, professional and Trust objectives in order to bridge the gap from theory to practice through the development, implementation and monitoring of training and development needs of the multi-disciplinary team.
Support learners to develop knowledge and skills to traverse safely from student to skilled practitioner
Responsible as a member of the team for the maintenance of a high standard of patient care.
