Location: UK, Paddington or Newbury
Role Purpose:
To provide Digital & IT strategy execution governance in collaboration with local markets, enterprise architects, architecture domain leads, and group functions. This role ensures the strategy is executed effectively through major transformation initiatives at both global and local levels and is accountable for delivering the Digital and IT strategy in accordance with relevant architectural standards.
Note: Expected Start date for April 1st No international and Sponsorship candidate will given preference for the role
What you’ll do
Key Accountabilities and Decision Ownership:
1. Architecture Roadmaps: Prepare and coordinate architecture roadmaps, aligning them with global and local strategic priorities for the next 3-5 years.
2. Architecture Review: Drive the review of market and group function roadmaps and initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic themes and objectives.
3. Governance Process: Own and evolve the architecture governance process, including demand tracking, performance monitoring, and reporting.
4. Tool Management: Manage architecture governance tooling (, JIRA), including establishing boards, creating reports, dashboards, and access management.
5. Demand Management: Drive the demand management board for complex architecture initiatives with Heads of IT and Architecture in markets, Centres of Excellence (CoEs), and group functions.
6. Budget Management: Support the management of budgets, headcount, operating model evolution, and cost distribution for the IT Strategy and Architecture team.
7. Policy Refresh: Manage the Digital & IT policy refresh in collaboration with subject matter experts.
8. Strategic Programmes: Support the management of key strategic programmes, including Shadow IT and IT Transformation.
Who you are
Core Competencies, Knowledge, and Experience:
9. Governance and Compliance: Proficiency in managing and evolving governance processes, including demand tracking and performance monitoring.
10. Strategic Planning: Ability to develop and align architecture roadmaps with global and local strategic priorities.
11. Architecture Competency: In-depth knowledge of architecture principles, tooling, and methodologies.
12. Collaboration and Communication: Strong stakeholder management skills.
13. Budget Management: Experience in budget management and cost distribution.
Must-Have Technical / Professional Qualifications:
14. Academic Degree: Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Management, Computer Science, or similar.
15. Experience: 3+ years in IT programme management, IT Strategy, Enterprise Architecture, or similar.
16. Certifications: Up-to-date certifications in Agile Way of Working (, SAFe, SCRUM, Spotify model). TOGAF certification preferred.
17. Communication Skills: Outstanding written communication and presentation skills.
18. Agile Tools Knowledge: Familiarity with Agile collaboration tools (, Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Mural).
