Senior Project Manager Location: Ilford Salary : Open to discuss We are working with a Leading rail contractor who are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their office in the Ilford area. Your role as Project Manager includes the safe delivery of projects to achieve safety, cost time and quality objectives along with assisting in the engineering and development of all allocated schemes. Key Accountabilities and objectives Plan, resource, and oversee project delivery, ensuring smooth execution and compliance with safety regulations. Conduct risk assessments, create work packages, and ensure all safety-critical decisions align with company and industry standards. Manage and develop a project delivery team, ensuring all personnel are correctly trained and competent. Collaborate with clients, supply chain partners, and internal teams to ensure project success. Control budgets, resource allocation, procurement, and financial forecasting. Experience Degree or HNC/HND in Project Management Experience managing rail infrastructure projects Strong team leadership skills (managing teams of 5) Knowledge of contract types (Fixed Price, Cost Reimbursable, etc.) IT Proficiency (Microsoft Office) Medically fit (including Drug & Alcohol testing) Key Accountabilities and objectives To create, manage and deliver R&D Projects Management of works overviews and other project documentation to demonstrate a concise programme of works through the preparation and delivery of detailed hand-over packs. Continuous improvement implementation Good understanding of risk and opportunity management.
