What you'll do:
• Conduct financial assessments via telephone, online, or in-person visits, tailoring your communication style to meet the diverse needs of clients.
• Accurately calculate clients' contributions towards the cost of care services provided by Hampshire County Council and explain complex calculations with compassion, care, and diplomacy.
• Identify and support clients with potential welfare benefits claims.
• Remain calm and professional when faced with emotional responses during challenging conversations.
• Work flexibly across a wide geographical area, making best use of homeworking and council hubs.
What we're looking for:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong empathy and the ability to handle emotional responses with care.
• Professionalism and diplomacy in all client interactions.
• First-class numeracy skills and attention to detail.
• Confidence in working independently and using IT skills to enhance your work efficiency.
• Previous experience of accurately dealing with complex financial information and awareness of personal finance products.
