Our Marine division in Birkenhead is hiring a Service Administrator on a permanent basis. You’ll help process customer orders, plan technician schedules, coordinate resources, and ensure accurate invoicing - all while keeping customers informed every step of the way.

What You Can Expect from the Role
Key Responsibilities for the Service Administrator role include but are not limited to:
1. You will record and process customer orders, including custom and special orders that may require additional resources for deliver
2. Conduct calls (by telephone or other channel) to allocated customers, acting as a key point of contact for resolving customer queries / complaints about work in progress
3. Provide quotes for local business as needed, ensuring standard pricing and terms are applied in each case
4. Issue certificates promptly and ensure all associated systems are updated accurately, to support proactive notifications for next year’s servicing business
5. Respond to and resolve complex or advanced issue escalations promptly and appropriately
6. Plan and coordinate technicians to deliver servicing installation, maintenance and repairs
7. Schedules/trip reports once the servicing has been carried out and sending to client where applicable
8. Communicate the service delivery plan effectively, ensuring that the plan reflects the resources available (both people and supplies)
9. Collaborate with stores colleagues and monitors stock levels directly to ensure all scheduled work can be delivered; assist in stock take activity
10. To ensure the IFS system is maintained relating to Hire & Service Liferafts/Lifejackets and invoices generated as required Use & maintain all CRM details as required
11. Other responsibilities can be assigned by manager and may vary

The Experience, Qualifications and Skills You Will Have
Essential Criteria
12. Previous administration experience, ideally within a service environment
13. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
14. Strong organisational skills and keen attention to detail
15. Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently
16. Educated to GCSE/A-level standard or equivalent
17. Experience with ERP platforms is desirable
