Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday Fixed Term 6months with the potential be permanent Location: Remote / Nottingham (Long Eaton) Salary : Up to £40,000-£45,000 dependent on qualifications and experience Benefits: 50% childcare discount, wellness day and much more The Digital Systems Programme is a collection of projects to implement a new Finance system (Sage Intacct) and a new Human Resources system (To be confirmed) across the whole business, and to extend the use of Storal’s Nursery Management system (Famly) and Customer Relationship Management system (HubSpot) across a newly acquired part of the business. It will also support the adoption of the company’s Communications and Engagement platform (Yoobic) which was launched recently. The Business Applications Advisor will play a critical role in this transformation. The role will initially be a six-month, fixed term contract and be a key part of the Digital Systems Programme team, reporting to the Head of Technology but with a dotted line to the Programme Manager. The role may then go on to be offered on a permanent basis. A day in the life of the Business Applications Advisor will be varied, with responsibilities across multiple different applications and various workstreams of the programme. You can expect to be helping with training one minute, testing the next, working with data on one day, working with a delivery partner on configuration, or working with people to define their processes on another. This hands-on role requires a balance of natural technical capability, people skills and an analytical and logical approach. No specific project or programme experience is needed, all of this will be learned on the job. This role would be especially suitable for someone with experience of working in a similar role at a more junior level or with experience of working in an IT support role with a leaning towards application management. Responsibilities: Work with third party software partners to become the functional expert for our core business applications, managing configurations and ensuring optimal performance Define plans and coordinate activities across the workstreams on a project, making sure things are delivered in the right order at the right time Facilitate workshops and discussions with business stakeholders to define processes, ensuring that all of the processes across the various applications and functions meet design standards and the needs of the business. Identify opportunities to improve core business processes, leveraging technology and best practices Create test scenarios and scripts, load these into the testing tools and support test management, helping the relevant stakeholders meet their responsibilities in testing and signing off the technology and process that the programme is delivering Analyse and manipulate data from various systems, reporting data challenges and cleansing issues to stakeholders and helping them to get these resolved Act as a point of contact for end-users during Hypercare, providing support, training, and communication about system changes and updates. Prepare communications and training collateral when needed Report risks, issues and escalate any problems with delivering the plan to the Programme Manager Key skills and experience: Natural aptitude for technology, with experience of working with application configuration or system administration, and preference will be given to individuals with experience of HubSpot, Sage Intacct or Famly systems Good understanding of business processes across Human Resources, Finance, and Operations in a Nursery Management or similar context Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and educate business users Key attributes: Proactive problem-solver with an analytical and continuous improvement mindset, capable of hands-on technology functional work Able to balance multiple priorities whilst remaining collaborative, approachable and customer focused Driven and committed to delivering the best possible outcome for themselves and the business About us This nursery is part of Storal, a group of nurseries across England.
