We are looking for a highly motivated Agriculture & Property Manager to join our team in Banbury. This role is ideal for a qualified professional (ACA, ACCA, or CTA) with a strong background in accounts and tax within a practice environment. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of rural clients, delivering bespoke accounting and tax planning solutions, and mentoring team members.
Key Responsibilities
● Manage a portfolio of clients in the agriculture and property sectors, delivering accounting and tax planning solutions.
● Serve as the main point of contact for clients, addressing queries efficiently and proactively.
● Develop a deep understanding of client businesses, providing strategic financial and tax advice.
● Identify business and tax planning opportunities, including VAT and NIC issues.
● Oversee the preparation and review of accounts for both corporate and unincorporated clients.
● Review and finalise personal tax returns and ensure timely submissions.
● Assist with business planning, advisory projects, and tax matters.
● Ensure all HMRC and compliance deadlines are met, including P11Ds and corporate reporting.
● Support the Agriculture & Property Department in achieving objectives through planning and effective delegation.
● Conduct staff appraisals, mentor junior team members, and provide training as needed.
● Play an active role in marketing, networking, and business development, identifying opportunities to expand the firm's client base.
● Assist in controlling work-in-progress (WIP) and ensure timely billing.
● Participate in partner-led projects, providing insights on business planning and tax strategies.
Requirements
● ACA, ACCA, or CTA qualified (or equivalent experience).
● Minimum 3 years of experience in accounts and tax within a practice environment.
● Experience in managing a portfolio of clients.
● Knowledge of MS Office and accounting software.
● Experience with rural businesses or property clients is desirable.
● Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation and taxation.
● Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
● Effective communication and client relationship management skills.
● Proactive team management experience with the ability to mentor and develop staff.
● Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to meet deadlines.
