Vacancy for Cook Team Leader 30 hours a week based in Alltwen will be required to travel to other Community sites
The Catering Department at Alltwen provides meals, snacks, and beverages to patients, staff, and visitors. The Cook Team Leader is a key member of the team and has responsibility for carrying a range of duties related to food production and service in a busy kitchen environment. The Cook Team Leader will be working closely with the Catering Co-ordinator and Managers to ensure that Catering Services meet relevant nutritional and dietary requirements arising from clinical, religious, and cultural needs.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, and motivated individual who has City & Guilds 706/1, 706/2 or equivalent qualifications plus Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate or is willing to work towards this on commencement. Experience of working as a Chef catering for large numbers would be an advantage.
Main duties of the job
The Cook Team Leader's responsibilities will include:
1. Preparing and cooking meals from base and raw ingredients.
2. Supporting Catering Supervisors in the day-to-day supervision of staff.
3. Ensuring a clean, safe environment is maintained.
The Cook Team Leader needs to have good teamwork, leadership, communication, and organisational skills. They need to be self-motivated, be able to work unsupervised, have a flexible approach to shift alterations, and have a friendly and professional approach.

We are offering a permanent contract of employment with hours of work:
30 hours a week - working a combination of shifts to cover where needed on a rota which includes Bank Holidays and weekends as per the needs of the service.
This job will be based in Alltwen but will cover annual leave and sickness in other community sites, Tywyn, Dolgellau, Bryn Beryl, and Eryri.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
