Junior Test Automation Engineer
Are you an experienced software tester looking to transition into automation? Or are you already building your skills and want to put them into practice? We are seeking a Junior Test Automation Engineer to join our team and support the development of automated testing frameworks. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented tester who is passionate about quality assurance and eager to learn automation tools and scripting.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct exploratory and manual testing as needed while building automation skills.
2. Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts.
3. Support the implementation of test automation frameworks for web and API testing.
4. Continuously learn and develop automation skills through mentorship and hands-on experience.
5. Work effectively within Agile/Scrum SDLC and participate fully in sprint ceremonies while continuously reviewing standards and processes.
6. Communicate with product owners and developers to ensure any defects found are catalogued and addressed in accordance with best practices.
7. Deliver projects on time and within defined processes and standards.
8. Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies.
9. Perform other related duties as required.

6. Able to plan and manage own workload, delivering results within agreed deadlines.
7. Strong, clear, and concise written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people as needed.
Desirable Technologies/Experience
It would be beneficial for the ideal candidate to have experience in testing complex IT projects through to completion, resulting in the delivery of robust and high-quality applications using best practices. Experience in building and maintaining automation testing frameworks, including some of the following technologies, would be beneficial but not essential:
1. Cypress
2. Python
3. Selenium
4. BDD (Gherkin, Behave)
5. AWS
6. Postman
7. Test management tool Xray
8. API automation
9. Build pipelines using common CI/CD tools (e.g., GIT and GitLab)
10. Cross-browser/device testing through tools such as Browserstack
11. Tracking tools such as Jira
