For an informal discussion, please contact Caroline Vass on caroline.vassbrighton-hove.gov.uk About the role You will play a key role in providing project co-ordination and administration services to the Brighton & Hove Reducing Harms from Drugs and Alcohol programme. In particular, you will support the coordination of and the development and delivery, of the local partnership drug and alcohol strategy and grant funded activity. You will be based within the busy and dynamic public health team at Brighton & Hove City Council and you will be an essential member of the team. You will work in collaboration with partners across Brighton & Hove, Sussex and the South East including other council departments, NHS commissioners and providers, police and the office of the police and crime commissioner, drug and alcohol treatment providers, national government agencies, other public sector organisations and local communities. About the Role You will be primarily responsible for: Lead and manage the administration and coordination of the Reducing Harms from Drugs and Alcohol programme and partnerships and the local action plans for the delivery of the national drugs strategy. Provide full administration to the partnership’s multi–agency meetings, to ensure effective communication, agenda setting, documentation, recording and signing off minutes and maintaining and presenting accurate action logs and plans. Working with the council’s communication team, coordinate the development of online media and communications plans to ensure up to date, relevant information is easily accessible to promote the work of the partnership and provide residents with information materials and details of local services. Coordination and support of a range of public health projects related to the partnership. Support to projects may include data analysis, events organisation and undertaking engagement with a range of stakeholders. Manage relevant budgets for the partnership following appropriate procedures and raising payments and invoices as requested. Additional information Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
