Role: Apprentice Support Worker (Enhanced)
Location: Services located around Redhill and Reigate
Contract: Fixed Term Contract - 2 years
Salary: £11.50 per hour (£22,425 per annum)
Hours: 37.5 hours, part-time hours may be considered
About the apprenticeship
Join the enhanced apprenticeship programme and gain the following:
An enhanced induction into social care
An enhanced apprenticeship salary - we are paying above the living wage at £11.50 per hour
Professional accreditation with a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care – you will be given study leave of half a day a week to complete your studies and your course costs will be covered
Professional development workshops - quarterly face-to-face group workshops focussing on professional development covering topics such as building confidence, time management, and interview skills

To apply for the programme, candidates need to meet the following requirements:
Be 18 years of age and above
Have the ability to commute to our services in and nearby to Reigate and Redhill for a possible 7am start (earliest shift time)
Have the ability work flexible shifts
Have pass grades in UK GCSE Maths and English, or have the ability to pass a Level 2 functional skills module
Have been living in the UK for longer than three years
Have the right to work in the UK - we can not accept student or dependent visas
Have a desire to make a difference to the lives of people in their community
Key Responsibilities
You will provide support to adults with diverse care needs, focusing on competencies such as enabling motivation and aspiration for full lives. You will emphasise a person-centred approach, working through co-production with people who use our services to meet their unique needs, including supporting vocational learning, employment, learning new skills for independence and supporting a person's health and wellbeing. You will encourage people to form and maintain friendships, relationships and community networks, an offer behavioural support and functional development to promote independence and wellbeing.
You will actively partake in the learning pathway, that is informed by people with lived experience, shaped in collaboration with strategic learning and apprenticeship partners, schools and colleges.
