We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Buyer to join our procurement team and support the purchasing activities in the Technology department. The successful candidate will be responsible for purchasing goods and services for the company and manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of quality products and services. The Buyer will work closely with internal stakeholders to identify purchasing needs and optimize purchasing activities.
Responsibilities
1. Manage New Supplier Requests and conduct due diligence.
2. Work with internal stakeholders to identify purchasing needs.
3. Research and identify potential suppliers, evaluate their products or services, and compare prices and quality.
4. Place purchase orders and manage delivery of goods and services to ensure timely delivery and accurate quantities.
5. Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.
6. Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities including contracts, purchase orders, and delivery schedules.
7. Manage supply chain risks.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement cost savings opportunities and process improvements.
9. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to purchasing activities.
Skills & Experience
1. 2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain management.
2. Experience working in Technology (desirable).
3. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
4. Ability to analyze data to support purchasing decisions.
5. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and experience using Proactis (desirable).
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
