We are a friendly and nurturing small primary school in Colne, committed to providing an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all our pupils. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team on a part-time basis, working two days a week from January 2025.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons to cover teacher absences and PPA time.
* Support teaching staff in enhancing pupil learning and well-being.
* Assist in assessing pupil progress and adapting resources to meet individual needs.
* Provide pastoral support and encourage positive behaviour in line with school policies.
* Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and events.
What We’re Looking For
* Essential: HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
* Previous experience working in a primary school setting.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
* A proactive and adaptable approach to working within a small and dynamic team.
* A commitment to promoting a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
