Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a brilliant senior structural engineer to join our client in Luton. As a leading provider of engineering solutions, renowned for delivering high-quality and innovative designs across a diverse range of projects, they offer a dynamic and supportive working environment and are currently seeking to expand the team with a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer.
Position Overview:
* We are looking for an accomplished Senior Structural Engineer with a minimum of 4 years of experience across a variety of projects, including commercial and residential developments, new builds, extensions, council work, and surveys.
* The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on steelwork design and be capable of leading structural engineering projects from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and deliver structural engineering design for a diverse range of projects, including residential, commercial, and council works.
* Provide expert advice and oversight on steelwork design, ensuring compliance with safety standards, regulations, and client specifications.
* Conduct and oversee structural surveys, producing detailed reports and recommendations for clients.
* Collaborate with project teams, clients, and external stakeholders to ensure project delivery aligns with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
* Mentor and support junior engineers, providing guidance on technical matters and professional development.
* Manage project documentation, including calculations, drawings, and reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
* Foster strong client relationships, ensuring a high level of service and satisfaction.
Key Requirements:
* A minimum of 4 years of experience in structural engineering, with a proven track record in delivering a wide range of projects.
* Expertise in steelwork design and implementation is essential.
* Experience in structural surveys is highly desirable.
* Chartered Engineer (CEng) status is preferred but not essential.
* Strong knowledge of relevant engineering software and design tools.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
* Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
