Are you interested in working with young people? Do you have the skills to communicate with students and their families in our multi-cultural 11-16 school?
As a Personal Assistant to the Head Teacher, no two days will be the same. You will be providing highly effective, professional, secretarial, administrative, and organisational support to the Head Teacher and Senior Leadership Team. You will need to be an energetic communicator with excellent engagement and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with young people, parents/carers, and professionals. You will be committed to enhancing the lives of children and young people and need to be emotionally resilient while maintaining a professional relationship with those that we support.
The role will involve the following:
* Acting as the first point of contact for the Head Teacher, ensuring all visitors and callers receive a professional response and are dealt with by the appropriate person.
* Demonstrating confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism at all times.
* Liaising daily with the Head Teacher regarding the events of the day/week/term, and managing the Head Teacher's diary.
* Managing and efficiently planning the Head Teacher’s diary and appointments, ensuring effective use of the Head Teacher’s time.
* Regularly updating the Head Teacher on key issues and communications.
* Taking minutes of confidential meetings.
* Tracking and ensuring compliance with school policies.
* Accessing a variety of databases and platforms and providing summaries as required.
A willingness to learn and an enthusiasm for working with young people are essential, as well as an approachable and professional manner. A sense of humour is essential, as is the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment with many interruptions.
