We are seeking a friendly and efficientReceptionistto join our team atPriority House, Maidstone. As the first point of contact for visitors and callers, you will play a vital role in providing a welcoming and professional service. This role combines traditional reception duties with essential site-specific responsibilities, including mail handling.
Working Hours: Monday and Friday, 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM, and every other Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM - 1:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
• Answering and directing incoming calls, ensuring accurate routing and maintaining an up-to-date telephone directory.
• Providing a professional and courteous welcome to visitors, ensuring they are signed in and directed appropriately.
• Proactively identifying and reporting any issues or concerns that arise.
• Managing incoming and outgoing mail, including franking outgoing mail and sorting incoming mail for distribution.
• Providing general administrative support as required.
• To provide a courteous reception service to all visitors/staff and patients in order to maintain the professional image of the Unit.
• Ensure smooth running of office equipment (photocopier, fax, shredder) and organizes a call out if unable to solve problem.
• Transferring calls to the correct departments and updating telephone numbers

• Make sure the Doctor on call and security information for the site is up to date with correct numbers on daily bases.
• Provide a General Office function i.e. sorting and stamping post, accepting deliveries and ensuring these are delivered to the correct area, photocopying as required.
• Provide cover as necessary for colleagues during annual leave & sickness. Adhere to all Trust Policies and Procedures.
• Manage Health & Safety within own area of responsibility.
