Role Summary
We are looking for a friendly and hardworking individual to join our Homecare team serving around 2,000 patients across a wide range of clinical specialities. Homecare services are a vital part of providing the best care for patients with chronic long-term conditions.
The Homecare Pharmacy Department is responsible for processing prescriptions and invoices to ensure timely provision of medicines for a wide range of specialist conditions.
You will assist the Homecare Lead in the provision of Homecare services and contribute to the delivery of high-quality pharmacy services.
About the Role
You will provide efficient and effective administrative support for the homecare team and be responsible for organising and forwarding prescriptions to the correct homecare providers. The homecare team answers queries received from patients, clinical teams, and homecare providers helping to ensure that medicines supplied are safe, effective, and that the patient is supplied with them as requested by their specialist.
You will participate in order processing, matching invoices and credit notes, ensuring prices charged are correct, receiving goods electronically, ensuring discrepancies/non-compliance with homecare deliveries are investigated and errors recorded. You will maintain up-to-date records of invoices passed and forward them to the pharmacy finance team for payment.
The ability to use a range of data sources and Microsoft software applications is required to enable you to provide a robust audit trail of Homecare prescriptions and invoices.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week
