An excellent opportunity has arisen for a senior social worker to join the established Dudley Adult MASH [multi-agency safeguarding hub]. We receive safeguarding referrals for all adults who may be at risk in Dudley and who don’t have an allocated social worker. We utilise a multi-agency approach to gather information and reach threshold decisions We are a small, supportive team and provide regular supervision, weekly staff huddles, peer support and bi-monthly group supervisions. We have strong, well established relationships with our partner agencies including health, Police, probation and housing. We provide clear written processes for all areas of the service, along with a supported induction to the service and directorate. We encourage professional development and a learning environment. You will have the opportunity to develop your practice through post-qualifying opportunities, a host of safeguarding training modules and regular webinars. Your main duties will be to analyse safeguarding concerns, engage citizens, direct information gathering with partner agencies and reach defensible threshold decisions within defined timescales. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced social worker with an excellent knowledge of safeguarding in the context of the Care Act to join our supportive team. Successful candidates will demonstrate an ability to manage complex cases while illustrating clear risk analysis and creative strategies for engagement and support. The role is a 'hybrid' role with some home working and some office working.
