Do you have a strong understanding of mechanical or electro-mechanical systems? Do you provide technical support to internal and external customers? Our client services the marine, energy, and industrial sectors and due to growth are looking for a customer-focused Technical Support Engineer on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will have the ability to read engineering drawings with strong commercial awareness.
Position Details:
* Job Title: Technical Support Engineer
* Type: Permanent
* Salary: Dependent on experience
* Hours: Monday to Friday - 37 hours per week
* Remote Work: Up to 2 days working from home a week after the training period
* Location: Stockport
Responsibilities:
* Provide technical support to internal and external customers and departments.
* Accurately identify parts for customer RFQs, using records and engineering drawings.
* Create quotes and costings.
* Investigate and troubleshoot RFQs and enquiries.
Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications:
* Well versed in carrying out a similar technical support role.
* Strong understanding of mechanical/electro-mechanical systems.
* Ability to read engineering drawings and BOMs.
* Experience of costings and creating quotes.
