What your typical day looks like: Support the deployment and configuration of a range of layer 2 and layer 3 network elements such as routers, switches, firewalls and VPNs Perform in-life operational activities of network elements, including hardware and software upgrades, security configuration and patching, and technology refresh Perform hands-on configuration of networking hardware adhering to approved procedures and processes Provision of 3rdline support to Service Management team Lead identified strategic infrastructure projects in support of DHUs wider digital strategy. Lead the investigation and resolution of identified systemic issues in response to service events Work on-site at data centre locations when necessary Diagnosis and resolution of network faults, including escalations from our helpdesk Working in collaboration with our current 3rdparty network provider and any 3rd party vendors where necessary Liaise with service partners and customers Proactively handle support cases assigned to you Working with both technical and non-technical staff as the key point of contact Ensure SLAs are met, documentation is correct, and policies/procedures are in place
