Logistics Coordinator
Role: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Fawdon, Newcastle upon Tyne

The Role
We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator for our Fawdon plant. Reporting to the Logistics Associate Director, you will coordinate the planning and execution of GDP compliant transport solutions across the EU, delivering product to our customers on time using cost effective transportation.
By supporting the Logistic Leadership in the delegation of their duties, you will help to maintain the company's compliance with all applicable regulatory and legislative HSE requirements and company policies.
Responsibilities include:
1. Ensure all EU inbound/outbound healthcare shipments are scheduled on time, compliant and to budget.
2. Maintain professional relationships with freight forwarders and Key Stakeholders.
3. Communicate clear and accurate information relating to shipments with key internal and external stakeholders.
4. Continually measure carrier performance to ensure they exceed committed service levels.
5. Daily and monthly reporting; updating all shipments and entering data into system and spreadsheets.
6. Troubleshoot operational challenges and liaise within own and other departments to resolve issues.
7. Support continuous improvement projects and ensure successful implementation of agreed changes.
8. Documentation of processes as per the required Quality system standard.
The Person
1. Experience in a Supply Chain and Logistics position.
2. Some knowledge of the Import / Export booking process.
3. Good knowledge of MS Office with Medium to Advanced Excel capability (i.e. Formulas/ Pivot Tables etc.). Experience in analyzing large data sets & trends.
4. Excellent communication skills, both written & spoken. Able to communicate clearly & concisely across all Stakeholder levels and departments.
5. Previous experience of using ERP systems.
6. Knowledge of Service Management or leading service providers would be advantageous.
7. Experience of transporting controlled drugs, dangerous and cold chain products.
8. Any automation experience using current technologies (VBA, KNIME, Power BI etc.) would also be advantageous.
