Our group interventions service supports clients with severe and enduring mental health issues who do not meet the criteria for IAPT or Adult Community Mental Health Teams. While we primarily offer group interventions, one-to-one interventions are available in specific circumstances. We work closely with other mental health teams and services.

MPFT will offer a welcome bonus of 10% of first year salary- at 50% on commencement of employment and 50% following 12 months employment.
Main duties of the job
* To provide an excellent standard of psychological and clinical input into the Primary Care Networks in order to meet the needs of people in primary care with complex psychological needs and provide support to general practice and mental health staff working in primary care.
* To work both autonomously and in consultation with colleagues, making appropriate decisions within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the employing organisation's policies and procedures.
* To provide highly specialist psychological assessment, formulation and interventions to service users with more complex psychological presentations within the PCN.
* To offer advice and consultation on service users' psychological care to clinical colleagues within the PCNs and to other professionals as appropriate.
* To provide high quality supervision and complex case formulation to individuals and groups of staff in order to enhance clinical understanding and practice, and help develop and embed psychological formulation within primary care.

Job responsibilities
What We're Looking For:
* A reflective, open-minded psychologist who thrives in a collaborative, team-focused setting and is a team player.
* Strong communication, organisational and time management skills, with a keen ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
* Experience and interest in working with adults with severe mental health conditions, utilising a range of therapeutic approaches.
* An interest in group interventions and developing skills in managing group dynamics or relational processes.
* Ability and/or willingness to integrate a range of therapeutic models such as DBT, MBT, CFT, CBT, ISTDP, ACT, and CAT into your practice and development of the group psychology offers.
* A strong passion for service development and team support is essential, as this role involves collaborating closely with the Consultant Clinical Psychologist to enhance the CPD offerings for Primary Care Network Teams across Shropshire, Telford, and Wrekin.

Screening Criteria
* Doctorate in Clinical / Counselling Psychology
* HCPC registered
* Experience of working with a wide variety of client groups, across the whole life course.
* Experience in developing and delivering group work
* Experience of teaching, training and/or professional and clinical supervision.
* Experience of exercising full clinical responsibility for clients' psychological care and intervention
