The role:
Our real estate team are looking to recruit an ambitious Solicitor or Senior Solicitor, to work on a wide range of property related matters for clients ranging from the NHS and private sector organisations to GP partnerships and other professionals that operate in the healthcare sector.
This role will support across the team which will involve handling a highly varied workload including but not limited to sales and acquisitions, landlord and tenant, corporate support and estates management.
Experience of working within the healthcare sector would be advantageous, but is not essential, as the successful candidate will be commercially minded, who can work closely with our clients and provide an efficient, friendly and jargon-free service on a wide range of commercial property matters.
The team:
Our Real Estate team predominantly works for NHS bodies, companies, partnerships and professionals and independent sector providers of health and social care services on a broad range of property matters. Our clients include NHS trusts, ICBs, GPs, dentists and private healthcare organisations.
The team has a dynamic and varied mix of work across both the private and public sectors with considerable experience of acting for clients with multi-sector expertise which we believe is rarely found in any other law firm. We act on acquisitions, disposals and leases with a capital value of over half a billion pounds annually.
We understand each client's goals whether corporate or individual, public sector or private.
Skills and competencies:
1. Sales and acquisitions
2. Negotiation of leases and associated landlord and tenant matters - acting for landlord and tenants
3. Corporate support on mergers and acquisitions, particularly in the independent health sector
4. Property due diligence
5. Title investigation and reporting
6. Deed of Easements, Licences, Tenancies at Will
7. Providing property support to the wider real estate team
8. Supporting business development of the team and able to meet with clients and intermediaries
9. Developing your own relationships with clients/intermediaries
10. Flexible and willing to take on a varied workload
Candidate specification:
* Proven experience of advising in all areas of commercial property law and practice, ideally within the sector but other relevant experience will be considered
* Excellent communication, organisation and research skills
* Excellent attention to detail
* Demonstrable ability to manage own caseload and adhere to client deadlines
* Work effectively as part of a team
* Prioritise key tasks and work under pressure
* Proactive and keen to take part in business development
* Keen to take on challenging work and able to adapt to varying situations from time to time
