We are working with a local manufacturing company based in Tewkesbury who has an exciting and varied opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to help support the Sales Team. This role will require excellent organisation, self-motivation, and attention to detail.
Duties include:
1. Sales Invoicing
2. Sales Credit notes
3. Posting bank payments to Sage
4. Credit Control
5. Bank Reconciliations
6. Month End Processes
7. Maintenance of various spreadsheets
8. Monthly revaluations of debtors' ledger (foreign accounts)
9. Creating commercial invoices
10. Purchase Ledger Invoicing
11. Courier Queries
12. Coding and posting of petty cash/franking machine
13. Filing of invoices, PO's and other paperwork
14. Perform additional ad hoc duties as necessary
Ideal Requirements:
1. Previous PL, SL or accounts experience
2. Ability to work diligently and accurately with a keen eye for detail
3. Work to regular deadlines and get tasks completed fully and on time
4. Good communication and organisational skills essential
5. Willingness to take on new tasks and learn
6. Confident with Excel and Accounting systems (Sage systems ideally)
Accounts System: Sage 200
Hours Per Week: Monday - Friday 37.5 hours per week 8.30am - 5.00pm (1h for lunch)
Holidays: 22 days + BH
Salary: £28K - £30K
Bonus: Quarterly bonus based on company performance
