Position Overview
They seek to add a dynamic and experienced Associate Director to join their Glasgow studio. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading projects, managing client relationships, and driving the growth and success of their practice in Scotland. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned architect with strong leadership skills and a passion for sustainable design to make a significant impact within their organisation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage architectural projects from concept through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
2. Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact and ensuring client satisfaction.
3. Provide strategic direction and contribute to the development and implementation of the practice's business plan.
4. Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive working environment.
5. Collaborate with other directors and senior management to drive business development and secure new project opportunities.
6. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and codes of practice.
7. Represent the business at industry events and conferences, enhancing the firm's profile and reputation.
Qualifications and Experience
8. A degree in Architecture and membership of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) or equivalent.
9. A minimum of 10 years of post-qualification experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
10. Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects across various sectors.
11. Strong design and technical skills, with a portfolio that demonstrates excellence in sustainable design.
12. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
13. Experience in business development and client management.
14. Ability to lead, inspire, and motivate a diverse team.
15. Proficiency in relevant software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
