Regional Mission Team Leader (South of England)

Scripture Union is a national mission movement, aiming to create opportunities for children and young people to explore the Bible, respond to Jesus, and grow in faith. We are currently seeking a Regional Mission Team Leader to provide direction, leadership, vision, and energy to Scripture Union’s Regional Ministry. This role requires leading and managing the Regional Team in the South of England based in the M4 Corridor geographical area.
The successful candidate will:
* Lead and manage the regional staff team in the strategic development of ministry across the region.
* Represent and attend meetings and events on behalf of the National Movement in London, and network with London-based Mission Agency Partners.
* Develop strong relationships with local churches, LMPs, and other organisations within the region.
* Oversee the regional strategy for identifying, recruiting, training, and supporting Faith Guides, volunteers, and LMPs.
* Provide strategic lead for local mission activity within Scripture Union’s mission framework, establishing a clear hand-over process and timetable to local church partners.
* Pioneer new approaches/ideas in line with SU’s strategy that have the potential to be replicated elsewhere and lead to greater scale and depth of mission activity including the development of content and working with the Development Hub in its testing and delivery.
* Consult and agree on financial priorities and oversee the regional budget ensuring the greatest impact and implementing regional worker-specific fundraising activities and approaches.
