About the Role: As a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the Maths Department to enhance student learning and achievement. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Maths graduate to gain valuable experience in a school setting, particularly for those considering a career in teaching or education. Key Responsibilities: Work closely with students to provide targeted one-to-one or small-group support, helping them grasp complex mathematical concepts and build confidence in their abilities. Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging Maths lessons that cater to varying levels of ability and learning needs. Support students in preparing for key assessments, including GCSE exams, by guiding them through practice questions, revision techniques, and study strategies. Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers to inform lesson planning and interventions. Contribute to classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and active participation in lessons. Help develop and prepare teaching resources and materials to aid student understanding. Support extracurricular Maths activities and initiatives to inspire a love for the subject among students. While previous experience working with young people is desirable, it is not essential, as full training and ongoing support will be provided.
