The Tooling and Automation Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining automation workflows, integrating systems, and creating user stories to meet the unique needs of various business units. This role demands strong technical expertise in SaaS tools like Atlassian, Zapier, or Tines, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective automation solutions. Key Responsibilities Requirement Gathering:Collaborate with business units to gather requirements and develop detailed user stories. Automation Development:Design, develop, and implement automation solutions to streamline workflows and enhance team productivity. Systems Integration:Integrate Atlassian with other tools and systems to ensure seamless data flow and efficient task management. Workflow Management:Utilize Zapier, Tines, or similar platforms to build and maintain complex automation workflows. Process Improvement:Continuously evaluate and improve existing automation processes, ensuring they meet evolving business needs. Documentation:Thoroughly document all automation workflows, integrations, and system configurations to support maintenance and future development. Support and Training:Provide ongoing support for production tooling and automation, including conducting training sessions and workshops to educate team members on new tools and processes. Advocacy:Champion the use of tooling and automation solutions across the business, promoting their benefits and encouraging adoption. Industry Awareness:Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in tooling and automation to keep the business at the forefront of technology. Qualifications Technical Expertise:Proven experience with Atlassian, including advanced configurations and integrations. Automation Skills:Strong hands-on experience with Zapier, Tines, or similar automation platforms. Project Management:Demonstrated ability to create detailed user stories and delivery plans. Development skills: An intermediate understanding of basic HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, REGEX and Cron Expressions. Additional Requirements:. ITIL 4 understanding. Skills Technical Knowledge:Deep technical understanding and experience in developing IT service processes and procedures. Communication:Ability to effectively communicate across all management levels, both in writing and verbally. Analytical Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail. Teamwork and Service Focus:Team-oriented with a strong customer service focus, capable of working collaboratively and independently. Presentation Skills:Ability to present ideas and solutions in a clear, user-friendly manner. Adaptability:Reliable and flexible, with the ability to adjust to changing business needs and priorities. Desired Experience Business Intelligence Tools:Understanding of dashboard creation and data structuring using Metabase, PowerBI, Google Data Studio, or other business intelligence software.
