The General Manager will be working for a fast-growing retail business headquartered in Manchester looking to grow its traditional retail and ecommerce operations.
Job Description
* Oversee the daily operations of the logistics department.
* Drive the development and implementation of strategic plans.
* Manage budgets and introduce metrics to drive the operations side of the business.
* Ensure compliance with regulations and advise the business on supply chain best practices.
* Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing logistics team.
* Collaborate with other departments to optimise processes.
* Report on operational performance and suggest improvements.
* Stay informed about industry standards and implement improvements for the business.
The Successful Applicant
A successful General Manager will have:
* Working experience as a leader within the logistics sector.
* Ecommerce and/or retail industry experience is advantageous.
* Strong knowledge of introducing logistics and supply chain processes.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills.
