As an apprentice Electrician, you will gain valuable on-the-job experience whilst working alongside a qualified tradesperson. You will build an electronic portfolio and site diary of your work using a software system called One File. In addition, you will attend City Building’s Training College on a block release basis where you will learn how to wire cables, security systems, fire safety systems, or connecting sockets and switches.
An apprenticeship with City Building (Glasgow) LLP gives you the best of both worlds in that you attend college on a block release programme to learn your trade as well as gaining on-site practical experience on live City Building (Glasgow) LLP projects.
You could be working within:
* A building site
* Customers Homes
* Public Buildings
* Retrofitting Renewable Technologies
* New Build Schools
* New Build Housing
* Refurbishment Projects
* Community Projects
As well as gaining a vast amount of experience, you will ‘earn as you learn’ meaning you will be paid a wage for learning your trade.
Successful applicants will be given full support throughout their apprenticeship and are expected to adhere to existing work practices, methods, procedures and undertake relevant training and development activities, as well as carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as directed by Supervisors. You are expected to adhere to City Building (Glasgow) LLP’s Health and Safety Policy at all times.
