Teaching assistant (SEN)
We have a new vacancy for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant. The school is a primary C of E school that is in need of a 1:1 teaching assistant. Working primarily in the classroom but also providing one to one support during Maths and English lessons. The ideal candidate would have a calm and relaxed approach to teaching and have a good understanding of SEN in general and Autism in particular.
This is a small school located in the heart of Bodmin that caters for both mainstream education and SEN students. We are looking for someone who would be keen to work alongside the classroom teacher whilst also thinking of new ways to help the children understand the material taught in class should they require additional support.
Daily duties include:
* Providing one to one support during English and Maths lessons
* Using phonics and My Math
* Working alongside the classroom teacher
* Being creative with learning methods and adapting to the child's needs
Working with Long-term Teachers:
