WHAT TO EXPECT The external investigations department is responsible for responding to government enquiries that arise in any market in which JLR is represented. The essential aspect to any response is to have all available facts and data to ensure full representation of any issues is available. The focus is to provide an accurate, timely and well-constructed response which address the questions asked. This role is ideally suited to an enthusiastic engineer with a keen interest in whole vehicle engineering and good root cause analysis capability. Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities: • Develop technical responses to safety and compliance related product enquires from governmental agencies and legislators around the world • Preparation and co-ordination of special vehicle/component demonstrations as required in order to support governmental agency enquiries • Provide technical assistance to the Office of the General Counsel, Product Engineering activities, and outside law firms as appropriate on matters that have been subject to Government investigations and/or safety recalls • Where required, participate in the activities of the Critical Concern Review Group (CCRG) and Technical Review Group • Log and maintain the issues management system for External Investigations/Enquiries to ensure accurate records are maintained for all External Investigations WHAT YOU’LL NEED • Proven technical and non-technical written skills • Strong communications skills and excellent organisational and analytical skills • Self-motivated team player able to handle multiple investigations at once • Good analytical capability, able to review data from the following databases: CDR, AWS, GCM, EPQR, NHTSA VOQ and other data sources • Vehicle development and/or broad overall technical knowledge of vehicle systems related to Powertrain, Chassis, Body and Electrical — previous hands-on experience LI-POST A leading premium automotive business and leading to move towards electric autonomous vehicles.
