Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist with expertise in MacOS and a strong background in the Film/TV industry. The ideal candidate will provide technical support, troubleshoot system issues, and ensure seamless IT operations in a fast-paced, creative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support:
* Provide first-line and second-line support for MacOS devices, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
* Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of MacOS systems and applications.
* Ensure the smooth functioning of network connections, video production software, and other IT systems whilst being an IT Support Specialist.
Film/TV Industry Specific Support:
* Understand and support IT workflows unique to the Film/TV production environment.
* Provide assistance with industry-specific tools like Final Cut Pro, Adobe Creative Suite, Avid, and other production-related applications as an IT Support Specialist.
* Troubleshoot connectivity and compatibility issues related to editing suites, sound systems, and rendering servers

IT Infrastructure Management:
* Monitor and maintain IT systems, including backups, updates, and patches.
* Collaborate with vendors for hardware and software procurement.
* Manage user accounts, permissions, and access for studio staff.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as an IT Support Specialist, preferably in the Film/TV industry.
* Expertise in MacOS systems, including advanced troubleshooting and optimization.
* Familiarity with industry-specific software such as Final Cut Pro, Adobe Creative Suite, and Avid.
* Strong knowledge of networking, hardware peripherals, and file-sharing solutions used in production environments.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience supporting hybrid environments with MacOS and Windows systems.
* Knowledge of video encoding, file compression, and rendering workflows.
* Certification in MacOS or IT-related fields is a plus (e.g., Apple Certified Support Professional)
Work Environment:
* Onsite support in a Film/TV production studio environment.
* Occasional after-hours or weekend support during critical projects.
