My busy international clients are currently seeking a highly experienced and trained Supplier Quality Engineer for maternity cover at their large modern facility in Nottinghamshire.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Ensure governance of all Supplier Quality-related activities in line with the quality management system.
2. Be recognised as a point of contact for Supplier quality issues in the business area.
3. Provide coaching and support to team members and functions while performing Quality Investigations.
4. Coordinate data reporting and share best practices across the business.
5. Work cross-functionally with other departments to support the business on quality concerns and improvements.
6. Control non-conformities and escalate new issues as appropriate within the organisation.
7. Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality requirements within the business.
Ideal Candidates Competencies:
1. Is a focused, pro-active, dynamic individual, intent on achieving objectives with a key focus on attention to detail.
2. Has excellent people and communication skills with the ability to work with, influence and challenge appropriately all functions at multiple levels to gain trust and engagement.
3. Has experience in problem solving and the use of tools and techniques.
4. Has previous experience of working in a Quality or Engineering role.
5. Is able to lead cross-functional meetings.
6. Is able to work independently and as part of a wider team.
Desirable Knowledge:
1. Familiarity with Aerospace Industry standards/requirements - AS9100/AS13100.
2. Knowledge of Rolls-Royce Supplier requirements – SABRe.
3. Previous Audit Experience.
Hours of Work:
1. Days – 37 hours per week working Monday to Friday core hours, 08:00-16:12.
Contract: 9-month FTC (maternity cover)
Pay: £38,500 - £50,000 per annum (depending on experience)
