Location: Sewell Group Head Office, Geneva Way, Leads Road, Hull, HU7 0DG
Hours: 37.5 per week, worked flexibly around 8.30am - 5.00pm, Monday to Friday
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 dependant on experience
Bonus opportunity: Up to 20% of annual salary, measurement based on company and personal performance
Role Overview
The Commercial Manager will work closely with the wider Operational teams to manage all commercial activities across a diverse range of client contracts.
Reporting to the Commercial Team Lead, the Commercial Manager will be responsible for budgeting and monitoring financial performance of contracts. As well as pricing new contracts and new works requests.
The Commercial Manager will review sales and purchase invoices and play a key role in supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities
Management of Contract Renewals and Variations
Reviewing and monitoring financial performance of reactive works and contracts
Production of monthly financial reports
Pricing and mobilisation of new contracts
Issuing quotations, management of approvals and client follow up expired quotations
Supply Chain Procurement & Management including
Producing Subcontract orders and renewals
Subcontractor market testing
Performance monitoring and annual reviews
Approval and issuing of invoicing and schedules for reactive works
Raising and issuing contractual invoices
Cash collection
Purchase ledger - Coding, approval of invoices and managing queries
Credit card reconciliation and allocation
Maintenance Team timesheets and coding
Provide cover for Commercial Team as required
Support the development of new procedures to ensure effective and efficient operationRequirements

Essential:
Previous experience within a similar role
Previous experience of managing budgets and providing commercial services
Excellent analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions
Have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Excellent communications skills
Positive and professional attitude
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a variety of tasks
Excellent levels of computer literacy and be comfortable with Microsoft packages
Have a flexible outlook towards hours worked
The ability to work as a team member in a busy and fast paced working environment
A positive approach to learning, development and progression Desirable:
Full Driving License, valid in the UK
Previous experience with Lifecycle forecasting
Previous experience in pricing and quoting
Previous knowledge of, or experience within Construction or Facilities Management
Have experience within a Health, Education and/or Commercial sector
