PA needed for a Gentleman for 15 hrs a week, NR29 area, £12.50 p/h - Great Yarmouth - NR29
Job Purpose
I am a gentleman in my 50's living with my 12-year-old son. I am a career, personal and business coach/mentor and a nutritional therapist involved in volunteering with a variety of organisations. I like to keep as active and healthy a lifestyle as possible. I am registered blind and have RSI in my left arm, resulting in pain and severe weakness at times which can prevent me from doing a lot of daily tasks, i.e., turning on taps, unscrewing a jar, or lifting/pulling items.
I am looking for flexible PA(s) to provide me with visual support to remain independent and assist me with a variety of social, domestic, driving, admin/IT & parenting tasks as required.
Main Duties:
1. Support to clean my home, do laundry, etc. - For example, clearing items on the floor to allow mopping and vacuuming of floors. Assist me to wash up and lift or move items; this will vary due to the weakness in my hand.
2. Social Support - Provide driving and guiding assistance to get to and from the Gym or going for long walks, volunteering sessions, and other events, and companionship or visual support whilst participating in these activities.
3. Food Preparation - To help me prepare meals and help with the weekly shop when needed.
4. Parenting Support - Assist me with reading, writing, or checking my son's homework when needed, and to be able to take my son out to activities. By driving and accompanying me when needed and assisting me in keeping my son safe when out, i.e., alerting me if he is at any risk.
5. Admin/IT Support - Assisting me with certain admin or IT roles relating to general paperwork at home, my volunteer roles, or social media/online activities, i.e., help me edit and search the internet for images needed for this work, help me save and place in certain documents and posts/files.
6. These duties may vary from day to day.
7. Any other reasonable duties that may be necessary.

Essential
1. Car owner and driver with appropriate business car insurance
2. Competent using IT systems/computers

Summary Terms and Conditions
You will be reimbursed for any agreed expenses as part of this role. The rate of pay for this position is £11.68 p/h, 15 hours a week - to be discussed with Employer. A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer. Satisfactory passing of mandatory training care courses. Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer. Completion of a satisfactory probation period of 6 months.
