24. Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to get one
25. Experience working with children or young people with additional care needs
26. Previous experience working as a teaching assistant or in a similar educational support role (required).
27. Experience working with children with special educational needs (preferred).
28. Experience in managing challenging behaviour and implementing behaviour support plans.
29. Understanding of special educational needs and individualized education plans (IEPs).
30. Familiarity with the national curriculum and how to adapt it for SEN students.
31. Knowledge of relevant SEND legislation and safeguarding policies.
32. Genuine interest in supporting the educational development of children with special needs.
33. Patience, empathy, and resilience.
34. A positive and proactive approach to problem-solving.
35. Strong attention to detail and cultural sensitivity.
36. Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
37. Ability to assist students with physical activities and personal care needs.
38. Physical stamina to be active throughout the school day.
