Healthcare Scientist - Respiratory & Sleep Physiology
The post holder will provide specialist clinical physiology knowledge within respiratory and sleep and will ensure best principles of care are provided to patients at our acute sites Maidstone Hospital and Tunbridge Wells Hospital and new Community Diagnostic Centre.
Main duties of the job
* To provide a high quality, appropriate and effective Respiratory and Sleep test service; interpret results and provide technical reports
* Responsible for the monitoring and performance of calibration and quality control procedures for all equipment
* Proven competency to be able to supervise, guide and support all junior staff and other professionals
* To deputise for the principal respiratory physiologist

Person Specification
Qualifications
* BSc Clinical Physiology/ Science or equivalent
* Registered on the RCCP voluntary register or HCS register
Experience
* Proven experience as Band 6 Respiratory Physiologist and competent in all areas covered by this job description.
* Experience of supervision
Knowledge
* Knowledge and/or qualification to teach other healthcare professionals the theory and practice of simple, specialist, complex and highly complex lung function testing
* In-depth Knowledge of specialised respiratory investigations
