Overview:
A reputable construction company is seeking a skilled and dependable Groundworker to join their team on the Isle of Grain. This role is integral to the successful completion of various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a valid CSCS card, be proficient in hand digging, and possess a valid driving licence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform a variety of groundworks, including hand digging, trenching, concreting, and site preparation.
2. Assist with the installation of drainage systems, utilities, and other infrastructure components.
3. Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
4. Follow site safety protocols and ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety regulations.
5. Drive to and from sites or between locations as required.
6. Collaborate with team members and site supervisors to meet project deadlines.
7. Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
Requirements:
8. Valid Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card.
9. Valid driving licence.
10. Proven experience in groundworks and hand digging.
11. Strong understanding of health and safety practices.
12. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
13. Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labour tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
14. Additional construction-related certifications or training.
