Job Summary:
We are seeking a creative self-motivated Research Scientist to develop models for multi-physics systems including multiphase fluid dynamics. The job will require experience in first-principle and numerical modelling approaches and working with experimentalists and domain experts on hypothesis testing and concept development.
Responsibilities:
* Work in modelling multiphase fluid flow (gas, liquid, and solid flow physics)
* Work with experimentalists and production domain experts to build and validate models and concepts and match models to experimental or field data
* Engage and collaborate with SLB technical community
* Develop novel solutions to research and engineering problems, and articulate them to the technology team and management
* Publish scientific papers, write patent applications and attend conferences
Qualifications:
* PhD in Fluid mechanics, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or a related field
* Expertise in first-principle modelling approaches to Multiphase Flow Dynamics (Gas, Liquid, and Solid Flow physics)
* Multi-physics CFD modelling of multiphase flows (Ansys, OpenFoam, COMSOL)
* Building and validating reduced-order models from high-fidelity simulations is highly desirable
