Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant - What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to students studying Psychology, helping them deepen their understanding of key concepts and theories
* Assist with lesson planning and delivery, ensuring all students are engaged and able to access the curriculum
* Support students in building their research, critical thinking, and writing skills essential for success in Psychology
* Help students with emotional or behavioural difficulties, offering tailored support to ensure their social and academic success
* Assist in the management of classroom behaviour, contributing to a positive, focused learning environment
* Support exam preparation, helping students develop effective revision techniques and boosting their confidence
* Collaborate with teachers and the SEN team to provide tailored support to students with additional needs
* Foster a love for Psychology, encouraging students to explore the subject through discussions, activities, and practical applications
Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant - What We’re Looking For:
* A 2:1 degree or higher in Psychology or a related field
* A genuine passion for Psychology and a desire to inspire students to explore the subject
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and engage students of different backgrounds and abilities
* Previous experience in tutoring or educational support is desirable but not essential
* Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to the learning needs of individual students
* A proactive and motivated attitude with a desire to help students succeed both academically and emotionally
* An interest in pursuing a career in education, psychology, or child development
