Rethinking education, helping tomorrow’s citizens flourish.
We seek to recruit a strong subject specialist in Physics to join a collaborative team of Science teachers who are passionate and committed to developing Science across the School. Physics is a popular subject within the Sixth Form – we currently have 80 students studying A level. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach KS3, KS4 and KS5, as well as to contribute to our Physics and Science-themed enrichment programmes. There are also opportunities for a suitably experienced candidate to contribute to teacher training and our well-established Physics network.
We are proud to welcome 11–19-year-olds from all across Birmingham through our doors to be part of our state-of-the-art school and give them the opportunity to develop great character and achieve academic success in a thriving community – without limits.
We will have high expectations of you to be an outstanding role model committed to the distinctive ethos of our School, where we strive for academic excellence underpinned by character education.
In return, we can offer you:
* A commitment to your continued professional development within school, using additional training days to enhance and develop teaching pedagogy.
* Three days per year dedicated to your own research or individual professional development.
* Access to world-class resources, research and people through our partnership with the University of Birmingham.
* Excellent support and guidance for ECTs where applicable.
* Involvement in our exciting timetabled enrichment programme.
