We are looking for an Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our team the Aberdeen! The Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the Accounts Payable department and ensuring all financial obligations are met in a timely and accurate manner. This position will be responsible for supervising and mentoring our outsourced payables processing team as well as our internal processing and payment teams. Furthermore, this will be a hands-on role where the Accounts Payable Supervisory will be required to assist the internal processing and payment teams with day-to-day tasks. The ideal candidate will use their experience, communication skills, and attention to detail to successfully administer and improve the processes of the Accounts Payable department, The key responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Supervisor are:
* Supervises day to day operations of the Accounts Payable function.
* Payment management - ensure all payment are processed in a timely manner, after all sufficient checks taking place.
* Oversees and provides assistance to the entire Accounts Payable team including internal and outsourced staff.
* Maintains, develops, and implements procedures, policies, key performance indicators and metrics related to Accounts Payable.
* Communicates professionally and timely with vendors and internal customers regarding Accounts Payable related inquiries.
* Ensures accuracy in coding of vendor invoices.
* Mentors and develops Accounts Payable staff
* Liaises with Accounts Payable outsourcing provider
* Supervises the month end close as it relates to the Accounts Payable function
* Review applicable accounting reports and accounts payable register and aging reports to ensure accuracy
* Manages tax compliance issues as related to Accounts Payable
* Strives for process improvement throughout for efficiency and cost savings
Considerable experience Accounts Payable supervisory/management, preferably in an international environment.
* Extensive Experience in AP Supervisor role preferred, along with experience in outsourced Accounts Payable environment preferred.
* Proven experience in cross-currency payments and foreign exchange, including managing transactions and understanding exchange rate fluctuations.
* International organization experience preferred.
* Experience using large ERP system required.
* Highly self-motivated and exceptional team player.
* Ability to multi task and manage a fast paced and diverse work flow
* Ability to collaborate cross functionally
* Excellent communication skills verbal and written.
* Proficiency with Microsoft products, specifically MS Excel and MS Word
